The Willows Wave Swim Team is a member of the New Jersey Swimming & Diving Conference. The NJSDC is New Jersey's premier summer swimming & diving conference with 34 teams throughout the central New Jersey area. We provide our summer swimmers with a fun and competitive swimming experience from the beginner swimmer to the experienced competitor.  The Willows is in the B League (Red) for 2019.

The team is open to all full season club members ages 5 to 18 that are able to swim at least one length of the pool. The team does not offer "swim team only" memberships to the club. Swimmers compete in one of five age groups: 8 & under, 9-10, 13-14, 15-18.

The team competes in 8 - 10 dual meets, League Championships* & Conference Championships**. There are also extra meets (Roycefield Sprints & Brookside Mini-Minnow) where some team members participate. These extra meets will be posted on the website.

The Dual Meets are held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings from the end of June to the end of July.  League Championships will be held the last Saturday in July and the Conference Championships are held the following Tuesday and Wednesday.


All swimmers are expected to attend practices, the dual meets and the League Championship* meet. For most swimmers this is the culmination of the season. The teams the Willows faces during the dual meet season gather to determine the League Champion.  The Conference meet is open to swimmers meeting the qualifying times.


The team is supported by a parent volunteer committee who assesses a registration fee per swimmer which covers, coaching, entry fees to relays in league championships, awards and gifts and miscellaneous team expenses.

Parents are required to volunteer at 3-4 dual meets. There are many jobs available at the meets, such as timers, officials, food sellers, scorers, ribbon writers, and 50/50 sellers.  A $100 work bond is collected with registration and is returned when the family fulfills their work requirements.
